Black Monday in US Stocks: Nasdaq Down 4% and Tesla Down 15%
US stocks fell sharply on Monday amid concerns of an economic recession. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 2%, the S&P 500 2.7% and the Nasdaq 4%. Technology stocks and crypto-linked stocks also suffered big losses. Tesla fell 15.4%, Apple 5% and Nvidia 5%, while MicroStrategy fell 16.68% and Coinbase 17.58% from the crypto sector.
El Salvador and Paraguay Sign Cryptocurrency Regulation Agreement
El Salvador has reached a cooperation agreement with Paraguay on cryptocurrency regulations, according to CoinDesk. This is the second international crypto regulation agreement El Salvador has signed in three months. Previously, a similar agreement was reached with Argentina. The agreement was signed by Paraguay’s anti-money laundering agency SEPRELAD and El Salvador’s National Digital Assets Commission (CNAD). The two countries will collaborate on the regulation of the crypto industry, detection of unauthorized crypto trading, and anti-money laundering compliance.
Mt. Gox Transferred 11,502 BTC to an Unknown Wallet
According to Onchain Lens, Mt. Gox transferred 11,502 BTC (approximately $905 million) to an unknown wallet. This transfer is thought to be related to the exchange’s creditor repayment scheme.
UK Treasury: No Plans to Introduce US-Style Bitcoin Reserves
According to Jinshi Investment Market, the UK Treasury has no plans for the Bitcoin reserve model launched in the US. The UK’s current financial policies are based on traditional reserve assets, officials said.
Thailand Recognizes Tether’s USDT as a Licensed Cryptocurrency
Tether announced that the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has recognized USDT as an approved crypto asset. This decision will allow USDT to be listed and legally traded on regulated exchanges in Thailand. It is also expected to pave the way for the widespread use of USDT in payment systems in Thailand.
VanEck Registers Avalanche ETF in Delaware
According to Delaware company registration information, VanEck registered the “VanEck Avalanche ETF” on March 10, 2025. The ETF is a Statutory Trust, with CSC Delaware Trust Company as the registered agent. This step shows that institutional investment interest in Avalanche is increasing.
