US stocks fell sharply on Monday amid concerns of an economic recession. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 2%, the S&P 500 2.7% and the Nasdaq 4%. El Salvador and Paraguay Sign Cryptocurrency Regulation Agreement
El Salvador has reached a cooperation agreement with Paraguay on cryptocurrency regulations, according to CoinDesk. This is the second international crypto regulation agreement El Salvador has signed in three months. Previously, a similar agreement was reached with Argentina. The agreement was signed by Paraguay’s anti-money laundering agency SEPRELAD and El Salvador’s National Digital Assets Commission (CNAD). The two countries will collaborate on the regulation of the crypto industry, detection of unauthorized crypto trading, and anti-money laundering compliance.

According to Onchain Lens, Mt. Gox transferred 11,502 BTC (approximately $905 million) to an unknown wallet. This transfer is thought to be related to the exchange’s creditor repayment scheme.

Tether announced that the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has recognized USDT as an approved crypto asset. This decision will allow USDT to be listed and legally traded on regulated exchanges in Thailand. It is also expected to pave the way for the widespread use of USDT in payment systems in Thailand.
