According to Decrypt, Standard Chartered Bank analysts noted that Coinbase sold 12,652 Ethereum (about $37 million) in the last quarter of 2024. The bank lowered its 2025 Ethereum price target from $10,000 to $4,000 due to Coinbase’s large-scale Ethereum sales.

According to CoinDesk, the Turkish Lira fell 10% against the US dollar to a record low following the arrest of Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul and President Erdogan’s opponent. This led to an increase in Bitcoin-Lira (BTC/TRY) trading volume on the Binance platform. Between 07:00 and 08:00 UTC on March 19, 2025, BTC/TRY trading volume reached a one-year high of 93 BTC.
