August 20 – FOMC Minutes

The US Federal Reserve (FED) holds eight Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meetings each year and publishes the minutes three weeks after each meeting. As a detailed document of the FOMC meeting, they allow us to see what economic and financial factors were at play when voting to set interest rates and can provide clues about the FED’s next move. A more “hawkish” stance than expected could put pressure on digital asset prices, while minutes with relatively “dovish” messages could support gains.

August 21-23 – 2025 Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium

This year, the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium will take place on August 21-23. The theme for 2025 has been set as “Labor Markets in Transition: Demographics, Productivity, and Macroeconomic Policy.”

With the participation of officials from central banks that manage the monetary policies of major economies, as well as representatives from the US Federal Reserve (FED), government officials, financial sector leaders, academics, and journalists, the Jackson Hole meeting, which draws attention to Wyoming every year, will once again be under the spotlight of market participants.

We can say that messages coming from the FED will be closely monitored.

Investors seeking clues about the Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) interest rate cut path will scrutinize every detail on this topic to predict the level of financial tightening in the coming period. Expectations regarding the FOMC’s decisions, which could also be significant for the value of digital assets, will be one of the main agenda items in the crypto world.

August 21 – ISM Manufacturing PMI

The Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) is a diffusion index based on surveyed purchasing managers in the manufacturing industry. Conducted by The Institute for Supply Management (ISM), this survey of approximately 300 purchasing managers asks respondents to assess the relative level of business conditions, including employment, production, new orders, prices, supplier deliveries and inventories. It is usually published monthly on the first business day after the end of the month, with a score above 50.0 indicating that the sector is expanding and below 50.0 indicating contraction. In general, a lower-than-expected ISM Manufacturing PMI is expected to have a positive impact on digital assets by pricing in expectations regarding the monetary policy course of the US Federal Reserve (FED). However, in some cases, it may also lead to pricing based on the strength of the economy. In this case, figures above expectations have a positive effect on digital assets.

August 21 – ISM Services PMI

The Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) is a diffusion index based on surveyed purchasing managers excluding themanufacturing industry. In general, a lower-than-expected ISM Services PMI is expected to have a positive impact on digital assets by pricing in expectations regarding the monetary policy course of the US Federal Reserve (FED). However, in some cases, it may also lead to pricing based on the strength of the economy. In this case, figures above expectations have a positive effect on digital assets.
