Trump Holds Press Conference
The topic of Greenland was central to US President Donald Trump’s press conference. On Iran, he said, “We have to see what happens,” not completely ruling out military action. During the meeting, selling accelerated in the markets, with losses in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 indices reaching 2%.

Yields rose sharply as Japan’s long-term government bonds (JGBs) fell. Yields on 30- and 40-year JGBs rose more than 25 basis points during the day, with the 40-year yield rising above 4%. This movement was also reflected in US bonds, with the US 10-year bond yield rising 8 basis points to 4.29%. Supreme Court Decision Postponed
The US Supreme Court once again failed to announce its decision in Trump’s tariff case. The process has been prolonged due to the court’s four-week recess. According to the traditional calendar, the next possible decision date for the case is February 20. This uncertainty keeps the perception of risk regarding trade policies alive. Markets continue to closely monitor developments regarding the timing of the decision.
