Breakeven Multiple
● Advanced
Breakeven Multiple shows how many times the current price of an asset must increase to reach the Breakeven Point (BEP).
-
Formula: Initial Price ÷ Current Price
-
Example: If a coin was bought at $10 and falls to $5, it needs a 2x rise to break even.
-
If ATH was $1,000 and now it’s $250, the Breakeven Multiple is 4x.
It highlights that recovering from a loss requires much larger gains, which is why traders often use stop-limit orders to manage risk.
