Bitcoin 2025 Conference Kicks Off in Las Vegas
According to Bitcoin Magazine, the Bitcoin 2025 Conference will take place in Las Vegas from May 27 to 29, 2025. The event will feature a highly notable lineup of speakers from the political and financial arenas. Among the participants are U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. from the Trump family, Michael Saylor, the founder of Strategy, and Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis.
Michael Saylor shared a new update on his Bitcoin investments via his social media account. Addressing his followers, he stated, “I only buy Bitcoin with money I can afford to lose.” It is anticipated that Saylor will announce new BTC purchases this week.
Tariff Tensions Between the US and the EU Postponed Until July 9
The Trump administration announced that tariff negotiations with the European Union have been extended until July 9. Trump, who had previously proposed a 50% tariff on EU-origin products starting June 1, argued that this step was a measure against the EU gaining an advantage in trade with the US.
Large Transactions on the Network by Tether and USDC
According to MistTrack data, Tether froze a total of approximately 4.04 million USDT across six different addresses on the TRON network. These addresses are reported to be linked to various platforms. During the same time frame, the USDC Treasury also minted 250 million new USDC on the Solana network.
Historic Entries into Bitcoin Spot ETFs
Last week, a total of $2.75 billion in net inflows were recorded into Bitcoin spot ETFs. This marks the third-highest weekly inflow on record for Bitcoin ETFs. BlackRock’s IBIT product led the way with $2.43 billion, while Fidelity’s FBTC ETF followed with $210 million in inflows. In total, IBIT’s net inflow reached 47.98 billion dollars, while FBTC’s reached 11.8 billion dollars.
Strong Weekly Performance for Ethereum Spot ETFs
Ethereum spot ETFs also recorded net inflows of $248 million during the same week. BlackRock’s ETHA ETF leads with $136 million in weekly inflows, while Grayscale’s ETHE product secured $43.75 million in inflows. ETHA’s total net inflows reached 4.4 billion dollars. ETHE, on the other hand, has historically seen outflows of 4.29 billion dollars. These figures indicate that investor interest in Ethereum is on the rise.
