CME Crypto Derivatives Daily Volume Hits Record High in Q1
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME) averaged 198,000 crypto derivatives contracts per day in the first quarter of 2025, reaching a notional value of $11.3 billion. Micro Ethereum and Bitcoin futures saw a significant increase with 76,000 and 77,000 contracts, respectively. The low-risk nature of micro-contracts has led to an increase in trading volume.
