Semler Scientific Purchased 1,510 BTC in the First Quarter of 2025
Semler Scientific, which is traded on Nasdaq, purchased 1,510 BTC in the first quarter of 2025, increasing its total assets to 3,808 BTC. The total market value of the assets is approximately $388 million. Despite reporting a net loss of $64.7 million in the first quarter, the company’s BTC investment yielded a 22.2% return. The two-phase purchase, conducted in January and May, was funded through operating cash flow and capital market financing.
Twenty-One Capital, Backed by Tether and SoftBank, Purchases $458.7 Million in Bitcoin
According to The Block, Twenty-One Capital, backed by Cantor Fitzgerald, Tether, and SoftBank, made its first major investment move by purchasing 4,812 BTC for $458.7 million. The purchase is part of a strategy using convertible bond proceeds from publicly traded companies. Stablecoin giant Tether completed the transaction shortly after the company’s founding.
CoinShares reported a 42.2% decline in net profit to $24 million in its Q1 2025 report. EBITDA fell by 15.5% to $30 million. The company’s ETP products generated $268 million in net inflows this quarter, with $202 million coming from Bitcoin spot ETP (BITC). However, the Ethereum stake ETP (ETHE) experienced an outflow of $23 million. Asset management revenue increased by 20.8% year-over-year to $29.6 million.

Net Outflow of $96 Million from Bitcoin Spot ETFs
According to SoSoValue data, a total of $96.14 million in net outflows occurred from Bitcoin spot ETFs on May 13. The largest outflow came from the Fidelity FBTC ETF at $91.39 million. The DEFI ETF also saw a $4.75 million outflow, ranking second. No products saw any inflows.
Ethereum Spot ETFs Saw a Net Inflow of $13 Million
On the same day, Ethereum spot ETFs recorded a net inflow of 13.37 million dollars. The largest contribution came from the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF ETH with 7.35 million dollars. The Franklin EZET ETF also saw a net inflow of 3.06 million dollars. In total, none of the nine ETFs experienced any outflows.
