US Secretary of Commerce: Trump to Unveil BTC Reserve Strategy at White House Crypto Summit
US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick announced that President Trump will announce the Bitcoin strategic reserve plan at the Crypto Summit at the White House. Assets such as XRP, SOL and ADA will also be evaluated under the plan. It is predicted that Bitcoin may receive a special status, while other crypto assets will be subject to different regulations.
US ADP Employment Data Fell Below Expectations
In February, the ADP private sector employment data in the US was announced as 77,000, the lowest increase since July last year. Expectations were 140,000 and the previous data was 183,000. This weak data could signal a slowdown in the labor market and increase the likelihood of the Fed bringing forward rate cuts.
Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Act on the Agenda for Review
The Texas State House is considering a bill that would create a strategic Bitcoin reserve for the state. The bill passed the Commerce and Trade Committee by a vote of 10 to 0, moving to the next stage in the legislative process. If the law is approved, Texas will be one of the first states in the US to legalize crypto reserves.
